Job Description We’re looking for a hands-on Accounts Assistant to take ownership of Accounts Receivable and support the Management Accountant with month-end and reporting. You’ll be the first point of contact for the accounts inbox and keep our ledgers clean, current, and audit-ready. What You'll Do Accounts Receivable (AR) Raise sales invoices accurately and on schedule Reconcile the sales tracker vs. invoices raised; resolve variances Chase debtors (polite, persistent cadence); maintain notes & promised-to-pay Cash & Ledgers Daily Bank reconciliations in Xero Post journals (accruals/prepayments/basic reclasses) with support from the MA Reporting & Month-End Update reports Assist with month-end close (cut-offs, reconciliations, schedules) Balance Sheet reconciliations Admin & Controls Accounts mailbox management: triage, assign, respond, file Support payment runs (checks, remittances) and raising payments where needed Maintain tidy digital records for audit and compliance What You'll Need Xero experience (must-have) and good Excel/Sheets skills (lookups, pivots) Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and clear communication Experience in AR/credit control and basic bookkeeping Nice to have Experience in a product/e-commerce environment Knowledge of VAT basics Experience in reconciling Shopify, Amazon & TikTok Work Location Home-based Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 20 Mbps) Should have own Laptop/PC (minimum of i5 8GB RAM) Note: As part of our recruitment process, we conduct a background check on all hired candidates.
