DnD – Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer for Molding Process, Tooling & Design, with a focus on productivity, reducing time, building systems, maintaining ISO documents and standards, etc. Should be involved in NPI’s, coordinate with the team, and implement TEOA. Must be a proactive team player with comprehensive knowledge of the injection molding process, machines, robotics, auxiliary equipment, and mold/tooling design. Responsibilities: Develop and qualify molding processes and tool designs (new & existing tools) Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow, space, and equipment layout planning Participate in product development, tool design, DFMEA/PFMEA Collaborate with Global COE Assembly to enhance molding technology and processes Maintain documentation for mold tooling, spares, and process set-up sheets Ensure all tooling/mold design drawings are current Train and develop new joiners and technical trainees Develop multi-skilling in stamping and mold tool design Coordinate with other departments and investigate reject products to develop corrective actions Promote TEOA culture on the shop floor Work with manufacturing engineers on new product development and process improvements Assess resource needs and opportunities for automation and productivity enhancements Review TEOA deployment and ISO documentation, participate in audits Visit vendors for assembly tooling assessment (capability, know-how, capacity) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering 3-5+ years experience in tooling design and development Proficiency in CAD software (Pro E/Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX) Experience with DFM analysis, RFQ for molds and tooling, stamping tool debugging Knowledge of tool room processes and tooling Understanding of core competencies like stamping, tool design; auto-assembly knowledge is an advantage Job Overview: TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders in stamping, molding, and assembly, ensuring processes operate at optimal levels for quality and output.
