Role Overview As part of a diverse tech team, you will architect, code, and ship software that plays a key role in customer experiences. You’ll work with software engineers and infrastructure teammates, solving performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability, and driving automation. Responsibilities Provide hands‑on support for runtime operations, ensuring high availability and performance. Participate in incident response and root‑cause analysis to stabilize applications. Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve runtime issues. Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to proactively detect problems. Provide input on operational requirements early in the software development lifecycle. Support and monitor software across test, integration, and production environments using CI/CD tools. Automate deployments and explore new automation techniques to improve engineering agility. Maintain runtime automation tools to reduce toil and improve efficiency. Ensure automated test scripts are completed for new features. Manage time effectively, working independently and as part of a team. Mentor peers and foster continuous learning. Bring a culture of innovation and risk‑taking to improve processes. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Experience troubleshooting for root‑cause analysis. Experience with monitoring tools (APM, AIOps). Solid understanding of ITIL concepts. Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience with system integration solutions (APIs, real‑time data layers). Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins). Experience in networking, Linux/Windows, middleware, databases, or cloud. Proficient in Java. Analytical thinking, curiosity, and a continuous‑learning mindset. Proficient in both Japanese and English (written and verbal). Japanese language proficiency of JLPT N1 (preferred) to N3 (required). Flexible, engaged, and proactive team player. Flexible to shift hours and work during public holidays as needed. A customer‑centric attitude and proven integrity. Preferred Qualifications 8+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge of Splunk and TCP packet analysis. Experience with NeMo, GAN/GIG, ServiceNow, and SFT tools. Payments industry experience, including regulations and network impacts. Knowledge of payment gateways like Zengin. Administration of Windows Servers. PowerShell scripting proficiency. Experience with load balancers, DNS, DHCP, and networking. Familiarity with SFT/MoveIT tools. Exposure to encryption technologies. Leadership Skills Leading geographically dispersed teams. Coordinating with global infrastructure and product teams. Building positive relationships across business and tech partners. High personal accountability and urgency. Promoting open communication and teamwork. Interpreting technical and business objectives. Driving data‑driven improvements and challenging the status quo.
