Overview JOB TITLE: Data Scientist / Pricing Officer DIVISION: Finance DEPARTMENT: AXAPH FI Actuarial LOCATION: GT Tower International REPORTING TO (ROLE): GI Pricing Director NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS: 0 MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Support the growth of General Insurance business by developing and managing actuarial database and reporting, and performing pricing processes adherent to AXA’s Product Pricing guidelines. Key Accountabilities Develop, document, and maintain GI Actuarial database, pipelines, and scoring engines to support pricing initiatives Conduct simple or advanced data analysis using statistical techniques and data mining methods to identify trends, patterns, and insights Provide technical support for product initiatives and campaigns, capacity to realize the tradeoff between growing business and profitability. Recommend premium rates for new and existing products that are aligned with AXA’s product standards and profitability requirements. Recommend assumptions appropriate for new and existing products. Develop pricing models consistent with product features and assumptions. Generate profitability and sensitivity results and analyze key product risks. Provide assistance in product design changes to increase market competitiveness. Monitor profitability and key risks of AXA’s product portfolio and recommend repricing or product pull-out if required Stakeholders Internal and external, including regulators, industry association, and auditors Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (Master's would be an advantage) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science or a related discipline. Near Associate or Associate level of a recognized actuarial institute would be an advantage. At least 3 to 5 years work experience in business-oriented teams (GI or retail insurance would be an advantage) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically about business challenges Experience in data engineering and modeling using SQL, Databricks, etc. Experience using at least one programming language required (SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc) Can collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders #J-18808-Ljbffr
