Job Summary The Social Media Specialist (SMS) will oversee the full social media operations for SMS Hospitality Network and its portfolio of hotels, brands, and affiliated businesses. This includes end-to-end management of content strategy, production, scheduling, and performance reporting. The SMS will handle daily posting and engagement, coordinate with property teams for content gathering, and produce compelling visuals such as reels, infographics, and promotional videos. This role requires strong creativity, organizational skills, and proficiency in AI tools and GoHighLevel (GHL) to ensure efficiency, brand consistency, and measurable results across all platforms. Key Responsibilities 1. Social Media Strategy & Management Develop and implement social media strategies for SMS brands and properties. Manage and maintain official social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.). Ensure consistent voice and branding across all platforms. Monitor comments, messages, and audience engagement daily. 2. Content Planning & Publishing Create monthly content calendars aligned with brand campaigns and events. Write engaging captions, hashtags, and calls to action. Schedule posts using automation tools and ensure timely publishing. Coordinate with the Corporate Office for approvals and updates. 3. Content Gathering & On-Site Shoots Conduct regular travel to properties for photo and video content collection. Collaborate with hotel teams, photographers, and videographers during shoots. Organize visual assets for easy access and reference. Ensure updated visuals reflect current promos, amenities, and experiences. 4. Multimedia & Video Content Creation Plan, produce, and edit short-form videos, reels, and infographics for marketing campaigns. Use tools like CapCut, Canva, Veed.io, Descript, or AI-based video editors to create content. Design infographics and storytelling visuals to enhance campaign engagement. Maintain brand style and tone across all multimedia content. 5. AI Tools & GHL Integration Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio, Pictory, etc.) for ideation and automation. Use GoHighLevel (GHL) to manage campaigns, automate posts, and track audience behavior. Create workflows that streamline engagement, nurturing, and reporting. 6. Reporting & Analytics Monitor social media metrics such as reach, engagement, and conversions. Generate monthly performance reports for each brand and property. Analyze trends and recommend improvements for content and ad performance. 7. Coordination & Collaboration Act as the social media point person for all SMS-managed properties. Coordinate with General Managers, Marketing, and BD teams for aligned messaging. Support special projects, campaigns, and seasonal promotions as needed. 8. Continuous Learning & Development Stay updated with algorithm changes, platform trends, and new creative tools. Suggest innovative campaign ideas and cross-channel content strategies. Mentor interns or assist new team members when assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management, preferably handling multiple brands. Strong grasp of social media trends, analytics, and platform behavior. Skilled in content creation and basic video editing. Proficient in AI tools and GoHighLevel (GHL) for automation and campaign management. Willing to travel for content gathering and on-site coordination. Excellent communication, project management, and multitasking abilities. Preferred Skills and Experiences Knowledge of basic graphic design, photography, or videography. Experience in hospitality, lifestyle, or travel-related brands.
