Quality Assurance Specialist

Overview A QA reports to a QA Lead. Works closely with QA lead, QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, Project managers, designers, and developers to ensure QA standards and client satisfaction are delivered. He/She provides execution of QA tasks with speed and excellent quality for the overall agility of the QA team. You will Are co-responsible for the quality of projects based on the requirements and design specifications. Responsible for attending meetings, providing status, taking notes, and providing feedback when needed. Communicate test results, issues, and risks found to project team members, project managers, and QA management through the different channels. Identify test data. Create and maintain comprehensive test plans. Write and maintain test cases/scripts. Create traceability matrix documents based on project requirements. Create checklist documentation based on project requirements. Perform functional and non-functional testing. Effectively communicating statuses. Apply industry-standard testing methodology, strategies, and industry best practices. Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution. Report creation and related metrics at different levels when necessary. Support the team on onboarding co-workers and/or junior staff members. Execute regression tests based on design specifications and requirements. Support QA estimations if needed. Fully understand the project life cycle and industry standards. Fully understand testing methodologies. Ask all necessary questions when tasks, requirements, or information aren’t clear or missing. Identify and raise risks. Collaborate with other team members to ensure project success. Analyze and understand details and requirements of projects and tickets. You have English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation). Minimum 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance. Bachelors’ degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of Agile methodologies for software development. Experience working with local and offshore teams. Experience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jira or similar. Extensive knowledge of Windows or MacOS software. ISTQB Certification or other QA-related certifications are a plus. Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus. Desirable knowledge of collaboration and issue-tracking tools such as Box, Jira, and Confluence. Working experience in automation tools is a plus.
