Senior Business Analyst

The Business Analyst (BA) bridges the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring that our administration with the SaaS platform delivers value to enterprise and government customers.

This role requires translating complex business rules, compliance requirements, and integration workflows into actionable specifications for engineering teams. The BA will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Customer Success to define requirements, streamline processes, and support delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

• Partner with Product Managers to gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for new features, enhancements, and integrations.
• Translate complex pension administration workflows and compliance obligations (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS) into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process models.
• Act as liaison between technical teams (C#.NET, Angular, SQL, Azure) and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on scope and deliverables.
• Analyze system capabilities and propose solutions for multi-tenant SaaS, role-based access control, and secure integrations (REST/JSON, SAML/OIDC, ERP/payment/actuarial).
• Support architectural discussions with context on business rules, user needs, and compliance considerations.
• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and cross-functional workshops to ensure requirements are well understood and achievable.
• Collaborate with QA to define test scenarios and validate that delivered features meet documented business needs and compliance standards.
• Monitor delivery metrics, document workflows, and contribute to release notes, user guides, and client-facing materials.
• Continuously refine processes for requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Must-Have

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in enterprise SaaS or complex software environments.
• Proven ability to translate business processes into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working with engineering teams building solutions in .NET Core APIs, Angular front-ends, and SQL databases.
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS concepts: multi-tenancy, role-based access control, data security, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS) and their impact on requirements and workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira), and requirements documentation.
