About the role


Looking for a go-getting Data Engineer to join our team As a Data Engineer, you will oversee developing and maintaining analytics pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and supporting our decision makers with your data products. We want a candidate with 3-5 (or more) years of experience with SQL, AWS, Python, and preferably some exposure to Databricks. Previous experience in banking or finance is a plus but not required.

  • Design, develop, and maintain analytics pipelines. This could be in AWS or Databricks.
  • Work even more closely with the data engineers to develop data sets from our source data and to establish workflows that will help both internal (DNA) and external (rest of GoTyme) stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schema, and data dictionaries. This is very important.
    Keep an eye on data pipelines and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Documentation of our data lineage and basic data management.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to transform datasets into more meaningful ones.
  • Work closely with our data analytics and reporting team to identify data needs and requirements.

Must haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or commensurate experience in related fields. A specialization in business, data, or marketing analytics is a major plus.
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in SQL, Python, AWS, and preferably Databricks.
  • You can write SQL scripts according to code standards and optimize them accordingly.
  • You can solve difficult data-related problems or can find appropriate material to help you.
  • Previous experience in banking or finance is a plus but not required.
  • Collaborative team player: we value transparency and maintain open communication lines.
