The Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and leadership of the Patient Account Representatives, both on‑site and telecommuters. The role directly manages interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and monitoring of staff as well as all aspects of A/R Management and Performance Management. The Supervisor attends meetings, responds timely to all requests, and identifies performance deficiencies and opportunities, implementing appropriate action plans. The work environment promotes communication, morale, engagement, and growth for subordinates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise Patient Account Representatives, managing performance metrics of collections, productivity, quality, and aging. Interview candidates, recommend hiring, and conduct monthly quality evaluations. Monitor staff scheduling and enforce time‑and‑attendance protocols. Manage A/R workload balance, eliminate rework, and reduce costs. Provide timely account research and resolution to staff, management, and clients. Communicate with subordinates, management, and clients; attend meetings and conduct monthly one‑on‑one performance feedback sessions. Complete mid‑year and year‑end Performance Management reviews. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Proficient in PC and MS Office Suite. Ability to build and lead high‑performing teams. Advanced knowledge of healthcare A/R, patient financial services, and managed‑care payors (Medicare, commercial). Strong judgment, problem‑solving, and innovative thinking. Effective multi‑tasking and organizational abilities. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent education. 4–7 years of experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of UB‑04, EOB interpretation, CPT, and ICD‑9/10 codes.
