Plumber

Overview

The Plumber/ Maintenance is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and related equipment, as well as performing general maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the facility/property. This role requires a skilled and reliable individual with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and maintenance procedures.

• Plumbing Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems, including pipes, faucets, toilets, sinks, water heaters, and drainage systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems, identifying the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
• Install and repair gas lines and related appliances (if qualified and licensed).
• Use plumbing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

• General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential problems and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean and safe.

• Interact with tenants, employees, or customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of plumbing and maintenance issues.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain a safe and clear work environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Trade school or apprenticeship preferred
• Valid Plumbing License (if required by local regulations)
• Proven experience as a plumber/maintenance
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment
• Basic knowledge of electrical, carpentry, HVAC systems
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
