We are looking for Accounting Supervisor to join our client’s team in Quezon City. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, and cost accounting, with thorough knowledge of Philippine GAAP.

Responsibilities
  • Direct reporting to the vice president of finance
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, and cost accounting
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
  • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
  • Prepare and/or review ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain the general ledger system
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assist with regulatory reporting as applicable
  • Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Coordinate the budget process
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion in a supervisory role
  • Thorough knowledge of Philippine GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with other accounting software/financial systems
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in General Accounting
