Overview

Finance Tower Manager – General Ledger (GL) / Record-to-Report (RTR) is a leadership role within Jardine Service Centre Manila. The position supports the Global Business Services (GBS) centre and contributes to the transformation program across finance functions, working with GBS leadership, Group and BU Finance Directors, and senior management in a large, multinational organization.

The Tower Manager has responsibility for the RTR organization to achieve operating and financial objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies, and leading the design and execution of standard global processes across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the global Record-to-Report process roadmap to deliver targeted business benefits and ease of process use for end users. Sub-process components include General Ledger, Fixed Asset, Project Accounting, reporting and analytics.
  • Manage the performance of the RTR operation team by defining accountabilities, setting performance objectives, providing career guidance, and ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Collaborate with process owners and tower managers to ensure effective operations and leverage cross-process synergies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and statutory regulations.
  • Coach and lead a team in a hybrid work environment.
  • Define and implement KPIs and performance measures for the RTR process; lead benchmarking and continuous assessment of global process performance to drive improvements.
  • Ensure internal control compliance of the RTR function, including risk identification, segregation of duties, audits, and non-standardized process management.
  • Drive global transactional process standardization through best practices, systems, and policies.
  • Collaborate with IT on system implementation/enhancements affecting RTR processes and deployment of enabling technologies such as dashboards.
  • Lead and contribute to development and execution of leading practice and continuous improvement strategies; stay updated on developments and trends in the process areas.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to manage service levels and demonstrate process effectiveness.
  • Oversee resource allocation and organize people/work to support high-quality service at low cost.
  • Build a high-performance culture with opportunities for development, feedback, coaching, and recognition.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related Record-to-Report leadership role.
  • Experience in a Shared Services or Hospitality environment is essential.
  • Experience leading transformational programs or enterprise-wide change initiatives.
  • Experience working in a multinational organization with international collaboration.
  • Understanding of complex accounting, internal controls, financial systems, and processes.
  • Direct experience with annual audits from a public company perspective; knowledge of accounting standards and controls, including testing and compliance reporting.
  • Problem-solving ability, teamwork, and the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Experience leading system and process changes.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with various levels including senior leadership.
  • Strong negotiating and leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front in meeting performance goals.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% (domestic and international).
