Entry-Level Trade Analyst (background in Chemicals, Oil, Textiles and Paper Products)

SGS Muntinlupa City, National Capital Region, Philippines

Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct and timely issuance of the report to be used by the importer in releasing the goods at Customs to facilitate trade transaction.
  • Assess product and/or exporter risk levels, identification of product essential requirements and following the Business Rules on Import Verification Program (IVP), Harmonized System (HS) classification, import eligibility, country instructions and other related references.
  • Provide technically appropriate product classification following the HS code system by using all available references submitted by the parties involved.
  • Evaluate transactions and provide valuation opinions based on valuation methodologies to confirm the correctness of prices being declared by the trade parties.
  • Assist in providing reports that shall be used at the country of destination.
  • Liaise with Trade, Valuation, and Inspection Centres to get additional information required during processing of files.
Qualifications
  • University degree - BS Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferred to have a minimum of 1 year of experience in technical / import / export businesses
  • Practical knowledge in MS Office
