We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant & Materials Coordinator within our Energy division.

Role Purpose

Ensure all plant and material requirements for the contract are provided to meet operational requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Responsible for the ordering and acceptance of plant and equipment for overhead line projects.
  • Ordering of plant and materials
  • Dealing with supplier quotations
  • Working closely with project management to work within an allocated plant and materials budget
  • Management of the site compounds including supervision of the yardman, ensuring MSI processes and procedures for material handling are adhered to on all sites
  • Plant and material coordination
  • Placing orders
  • Building relationships with supply chain
  • Management of site compounds
Who We’re Looking For
  • Secondary level education to GCSE or equivalent standard, with A’ level standard preferred
  • Telehandler License (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Overhead Lines Plant and Equipment (desirable)
  • Understanding of LOLER / PUWER
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Full Drivers License
  • Willing to work away from home

About Our Energy Business

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
