As a Paralegal at LawPLA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys, our clients, and contributing to the overall success of the firm. Your role will manage and support matters through the entire case life cycle, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, maintaining organized case files, and coordinating case progression. This position is primarily focused on the pre-litigation stage of personal injury cases, including managing client communication, collecting and organizing medical records and bills, drafting demand packages, and supporting attorneys in evaluating settlement opportunities. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of personal injury matters throughout the pre-litigation phase, ensuring timely progress from intake to demand. Serve as the main point of contact for clients — guiding them through their treatment journey, providing updates, and ensuring clear, compassionate communication. Coordinate with medical providers, adjusters, and vendors to gather records, bills, and other supporting documentation. Organize and maintain complete, accurate case files and ensure all materials are ready for demand preparation. Draft and finalize detailed demand packages that clearly present liability, damages, and maximize settlement value. Track client treatment and medical progress, ensuring timely completion and receipt of final records. Collaborate with attorneys to evaluate case strengths, develop negotiation strategies, and identify next steps. Prepare weekly case reports and work plans to maintain proactive case management and meet firm timelines. Uphold the firm’s standards for service, communication, and results throughout every client interaction. Qualifications Professional or legal degree for paralegal or lawyer or country equivalent. Experience as a paralegal or case manager in a California law firm handling personal injury matters. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail. Proficiency in office software and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new CRM systems. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced remote work environment. Professional demeanor, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a remote team. Compensation & Benefits Pay rate of $10-$12 USD per hour, equivalent to approximately $1,600 - $1,920 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Opportunities for incentive compensation based on individual and team achievements. Vacation and paid time off policy to support work-life balance after probationary period of 90 days is completed. Supportive and collaborative work environment. Work Arrangement Working hours from 9 am to 6 pm (PST), accommodating the time zone difference with the US-based team and clients.
