Laboratory Aide

Under direct supervision, provides routine assistance in the performance of laboratory tests and/or research. Cleans, breaks down, and stores laboratory facilities, equipment, and supplies as appropriate, and may keep routine records and reports on laboratory results according to established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transports laboratory materials and/or specimens to and from other laboratories, as required.
• Prepares standard equipment, facilities, and/or solutions for laboratory experiments, in accordance with detailed procedures and instructions.
• Cleans, breaks down, and stores laboratory equipment, facilities, and supplies after completion of laboratory exercises, as required.
• Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• Successful completion of junior or senior year of high school
• No previous experience required, but experience in the laboratory as steward is preferred.
• Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 25 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Block 2, Marian Industrial Park, Lot 25 and 27 Marian Road-2, Parañaque
