Solar CAD Designer Needed We are looking to hire a CAD Designer. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and plans for solar PV systems, supporting both design and permitting requirements. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical specifications into clear construction-ready drawings. Key Responsibilities Prepare solar PV system layouts, roof/ground mount designs, and site plans using CAD software. Develop electrical one-line diagrams (OLDs) and wiring layouts for solar installations. Create structural drawings related to racking, mounting, and load considerations. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and installation teams to ensure designs are accurate and feasible. Revise and update drawings based on project changes, client requirements, or permitting feedback. Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for project submissions. Qualifications Proven experience as a CAD Designer/Draftsman in the US solar or renewable energy sector required . Proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of other design tools is a plus). Strong understanding of solar PV layouts, electrical diagrams, and structural drafting. Ability to interpret engineering notes, specifications, and site data into technical drawings. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
