Job Description

The Facility Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient management of all building facilities, infrastructure, and services. This includes overseeing maintenance, security, health and safety, space management, and vendor coordination to ensure the workplace is safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all facilities, including buildings, utilities, equipment, and systems
  • Supervise maintenance staff and third-party contractors for cleaning, repairs, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other services
  • Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., fire safety, emergency preparedness)
  • Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate office space planning, relocations, and layout changes
  • Manage budgets, cost estimates, and resource planning for facility operations
  • Monitor and control utility usage and implement energy efficiency initiatives
  • Handle procurement of facility-related services, equipment, and supplies
  • Oversee building access and security systems; liaise with security teams
  • Prepare reports on facility performance, maintenance, incidents, and compliance
  • Ensure all permits, licenses, and facility-related documents are up-to-date and compliant
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in facility or property management
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical) and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software (e.g., CMMS)
  • Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external service providers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Facility Management (e.g., IFMA, BIFM, or equivalent)
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or high-rise building management
  • Familiarity with sustainability and green building practices
