Technical Support Engineer – Electrical Engineering Software About the Role We are looking for a skilled and passionate Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Electrical Engineering. You will be the first point of contact for engineers using our software, helping them troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and apply our tools to real-world electrical engineering projects. You will also collaborate with our product and engineering teams to enhance customer experience. This role requires flexibility to work during Australian or non-Australian business hours to support global customer coverage. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality customer support via email, phone, FreshDesk ticketing system, and live chat Troubleshoot software issues, workflows, and integration challenges Assist customers in applying software to electrical engineering design problems Manage, prioritise, and resolve support tickets through FreshDesk Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles Report bugs, feature requests, and customer insights to the product team Conduct customer onboarding sessions, webinars, and training Support sales integration by responding to product-related inquiries and identifying customer needs during support interactions Stay updated on new software features, electrical engineering practices, and industry standards Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred over solar-only backgrounds) Experience in technical support, customer success, or application engineering—ideally in engineering software Familiarity with FreshDesk or similar ticketing/live chat platforms Strong understanding of electrical power systems, engineering workflows, and design standards Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Customer-focused mindset with patience, empathy, and attention to detail Flexibility to work Australian or non-Australian business hours as part of a global support team #J-18808-Ljbffr
