Local and Group Office Performance Reporting

  • Local and Group Office Performance Reporting
  • Prepares, analyzes, and consolidates profit and loss reports for Group, Local and Internal Reporting ensuring accuracy of information and coherence commentaries and business insights (Monthly Business Review, P&L flash report and Financial Highlights).
  • Preparation of topline performance reports including commentaries and business insights (Flash Report, Regional Finance Dashboard, Financial Highlights, reports for Actuarial, MBTC cross-selling, other related ad hoc reports).
  • Preparation and presentation of analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L) by business channel
Financial Statements
  • Handles month-end financial closing and preparation of financial statements including variance analysis
  • Coordinates with other FCA managers to ensure accurate and timely financial close process
  • Act as team lead in the preparation of Auidted Financial statements.
  • Coordinates with other FCA managers in the preparation and submission of required notes and disclosures
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
  • Handles timely and accurate preparation of reports and payments to the different regulatory agencies (Insurance Commission, SEC, BSP, LGUs).
  • Collaborates within Finance and cross functional teams for effective and efficient preparation of regulatory reports.
  • Acts as team lead in the preparation of the Annual Statement for both Life and Non-Life companies.
  • Monitors status of the AS schedules from the different concerned FCA teams and ensures timely completion within set IC deadline.
  • Checks accuracy of balances in the completed schedules vis-à-vis control totals.
  • Coordinates/assists in the periodic examinations/audit conducted by the regulatory agency.
  • Assists in responding and taking actions on letters received from regulatory agency.
  • Updates the team with new IC regulations/developments that could impact the business.
  • Consults with regulatory agencies for clarification on specific provisions of laws and regulations.
  • Assists in internal and external audits.
  • Prepares other reports as requested by the Management/Board.
Premium Balance Receivable (PBR) and Premium Deposit Monitoring and Reporting
  • Performs regular validation of PBR and Premium Deposit account balances in collaboration with Operations team, ensuring SL balances tie up with the GL balances.
  • Ensure sign-off from delegated approvers of the reconciliation schedules.
  • Monitor age of open items.
  • Regularly review and monitor the issues log sheet and disposition of reconciling items.
  • Determine and recommend the appropriate actions necessary to correct inaccurate and incomplete recording of financial transactions noted during the account review.
  • Escalation reporting to immediate manager of unresolved reconciling items.
  • Regular discussion with Finance process owners and other Divisions for accounts reconciliation and audit issues monitoring and resolution.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • Must be a CPA
  • 3-4 years of accounting and finance experience in an audit firm or any financial institution
  • Change management/process improvement experience
  • Must have work experience in the insurance industry
  • Must have experience in writing commentaries and business insights on financial results
  • Proficient in Excel, and any accounting software
