Director Commercial Future Portfolio

At Novo Nordisk, we’re looking for a Director to lead the commercial rollout strategy for new indications and future portfolio assets across our International Operations (IO) markets. This role is unique as you will thrive at the intersection of data, strategy, and innovation in our Diabetes and Obesity portfolio. Your new role As our Director - Commercial Future Portfolio, you will play a central role in how we bring future innovations to life across more than 100 countries. Sitting within the Commercial Portfolio & Launch Office, you will translate pipeline strategy into market-ready plans and help define how new assets are launched and positioned within our global portfolio. You will: Transform portfolio strategy into action: define rollout, positioning, and market-specific plans for new assets and indications. Co-define how to develop a differentiated future asset portfolio within Diabetes and Obesity, ensuring we have the most attractive assets to launch in an increasingly competitive environment. Design launch performance KPIs: co-develop frameworks to measure success across diverse markets and adjust accordingly. Develop commercial execution playbooks: guide regional and affiliate teams on how to launch new indications alongside existing treatments. Build business cases: support senior leadership in launch sequencing, market prioritisation, and resource allocation. Lead capability transfer: ensure that regional teams have the knowledge and tools to execute new asset launches confidently and consistently. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across P&PS, Marketing, Regulatory, Finance, and Commercial Excellence. This is an office-based position, located in our headquarters in Denmark. Your new department You will be part of the Commercial Portfolio and Launch Office, a strategic global function within Novo Nordisk responsible for launch excellence, future portfolio integration, and cross-regional alignment. Our mission is to ensure every launch—no matter how complex—is driven by data, guided by purpose, and aligned with real-world market dynamics. You will report directly to the Head of Commercial Portfolio and Launch Office. Your skills and qualifications We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can bridge long-term vision with operational execution. You should have: A Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in competitive commercial strategy, portfolio management, or launch planning—within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Proven ability to evaluate new product opportunities and build market-entry strategies. Strong background in developing business cases, pricing models, and execution plans. A global mindset with experience in complex, cross-functional environments. Exceptional communication, stakeholder influence, and analytical skills.
