Loan Underwriter – BruntWork Schedule & Compensation Schedule: must be available to work from 9 am to 6 pm AEST; M-F / 6:00am - 3:00pm Manila Time Rate: Up to Php406 per hour, Php70,331 per month (to be paid on the selected candidate's local currency) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Underwriter to evaluate and approve loan applications while ensuring compliance with lending policies. You will analyze financial data, assess risk, and make informed credit decisions—playing a key role in balancing client needs with the company’s risk tolerance. Key Responsibilities Underwrite and approve/deny loan applications based on financial analysis, creditworthiness, and lending criteria. Conduct risk assessments, including review of income, debt-to-income (DTI) ratios, collateral, and credit history. Ensure loans adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies. Oversee the end-to-end loan process (application to disbursement), maintaining efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with sales teams to streamline approvals while mitigating risk. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and underwriting best practices. Occasionally provide customer support to clarify underwriting decisions or document requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. Proven underwriting experience in banking, fin-tech, or lending. Strong knowledge of financial statements analysis. Proficiency in underwriting software/tools (e.g., Moody’s, Loan Origination Systems). Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
