OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR JAVA DEVELOPER (Mid - Lead).

Work Set-up: Hybrid (1 time a month of reporting to office)
Schedule: Mid-shift (UK Time)
Equipment will be provided by our client

Job Purpose

  • As a Senior Developer - Java , you will play a key role in delivering mission-critical systems and ensuring high-quality software solutions. You will contribute to strategic design decisions, write clean and efficient code, and enhance both greenfield and legacy systems . This role requires a balance of attention to detail, technical excellence, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Working within an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban) , you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable, and well-documented software solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, and auditability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead development on related features, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java and Spring Boot applications.
  • Provide technical guidance to consultants and the integration team.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the technology lifecycle and ensure system reliability.
  • Analyze support requests and new feature requirements to enhance system functionality.
  • Work with Quality Analysts to improve system robustness, resilience, and stability.
  • Engage in bug fixing and product maintenance to optimize application performance.
  • Ensure software is secure, scalable, well-documented, and easily understood .
  • Follow Agile/Scrum principles , contributing to continuous improvement within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in delivering quality software within an Agile environment .
  • Strong ability to break down large requirements into smaller, manageable tasks.
  • Experience collaborating within technical teams and participating in code reviews .
  • Track record of working closely with QA engineers and product owners for planning and refinement.
  • Solid knowledge of software development best practices , including scalability and maintainability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining web applications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using Java and Spring Boot .
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS .
  • Strong proficiency in MSSQL, XML, and jQuery .
  • Nice to have: Experience with Git, Angular, or DevOps .
