Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring proper handling and processing techniques to maintain product quality

2. Ensuring compliance with environmental guidelines

3. Overseeing aquaculture systems like recirculating systems or open-water pens.

4. Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

5. Employing eco-friendly practices to minimize the environmental impact of aquaculture.

6. Analyzing data to optimize production

7. Staying updated on technological advances in aquaculture

8. Managing and training workers, including providing safety protocols and ensuring proper equipment use.

9. Maintaining detailed records on water quality, feeding schedules, growth rates, breeding and disease management for tracking progress and compliance with regulations

10. Conducting research on aquaculture practices, species management, and environmental impact to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements:

1. Holds a Bachelors' degree in aquaculture, marine biology, environmental science, biology, animal science.

2. Understanding of local, regional, and national regulations governing aquaculture practices, including water use, environmental protection, and food safety standards.

3. Hands-on experience in aquaculture or related industries (internships, fieldwork)

4. Aquaculture or environmental certifications.

5. Problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication.

6. Water quality management, disease management, animal health, farming systems, and data analysis.

7. Has relevant work experience.
