In this role, you’re expected to: The ICM Underwriting Credit Risk Portfolio Manager is responsible for setting direction for and leading the ICM Risk Analysis Teams across the Hong Kong and Taiwan portfolio. This senior leader earns trust by delivering difficult messages with transparency and respect, acting as a change advocate, and coaching the team. Ensure risk analysis of the portfolio aligns with industry practices, internal credit procedures, and regulatory expectations. Engage senior stakeholders in the region to address concerns and emerging risks. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to Credit Risk Team Leads to sustain a strong credit culture. Partner with regional and industry stakeholders to design credit assessment and monitoring standards. Attract, develop, and retain top talent and support regional on‑campus recruiting. Participate in training opportunities, including instructor‑led courses and guest speaking. Support ICM UW Voice of the Employee initiatives. Travel (less than 10%). Leadership Effectively delegate, provide feedback, and coach teams proactively. Identify and recruit diverse talent, building a robust pipeline. Engage partners and seniors across the organization for cross‑functional collaboration. Communicate team objectives and development areas transparently. Implement and adhere to Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards, identifying and remediating operational risks. Act as a culture carrier, promoting a risk‑aware mindset. As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure: Risk & Credit Underwriting Superior risk assessment skills, including problem recognition and solution structuring. Demonstrated integrity, independence, leadership, and judgment. Full understanding of credit policy, risk principles, and capital issues. Ability to recognize and address market, operational, and cross‑border risks. Interpersonal Highly effective interpersonal skills, influencing senior management regardless of formal authority. Solid organizational skills, managing time and priorities under pressure. Exceptional written and verbal communication, conveying ideas clearly across seniority levels. Technical Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills. Extensive experience with internal policies, standards, procedures, templates, and financial modeling. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of credit experience in Banking or Credit Risk Management.
