Job Title Horticulturist Job Summary The Horticulturist (Managerial Level) is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all landscaping and horticultural activities within company-managed properties or estates. The role ensures the aesthetic and environmental quality of landscaped areas while promoting sustainability, biodiversity, and operational efficiency. The position leads a team of gardeners, landscape supervisors, and external contractors to achieve high standards of landscape upkeep and design. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the horticulture and landscaping team in maintaining all green spaces, gardens, and outdoor plant installations. Develop and implement landscape maintenance programs, including irrigation, pest management, fertilization, and plant health monitoring. Plan, design, and oversee landscaping projects, including renovations, seasonal planting, and new installations. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure proper execution of horticultural and landscape projects. Manage budgets for landscaping operations, materials procurement, and manpower allocation. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and local government regulations related to horticultural management. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure landscape quality, safety, and sustainability standards are met. Research and recommend plant species suitable for local climate, soil conditions, and design requirements. Implement sustainable landscaping practices, including waste reduction, water conservation, and native planting. Develop training programs for staff on proper horticultural techniques and environmental care. Prepare and present reports on horticultural operations, including performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
