ISM Manager

Overview

The ISM Manager is responsible in ensuring that the Ship Management Division (SMD) has an effective and updated Safety Management System aligned and compliant with ISM and other regulatory requirements to support seaworthiness of the fleet.

• Properly documented SMS. Proper management of inspections, audits, surveys both internal and external. On-time closure of all findings.
• Regular visits to websites of ISM, MARINA, PCG, DOLE for updating on requirements.
• On-time issuance of memos pertaining to new circulars, directives, department orders of regulatory bodies.
• Implement agreed strategies and projects for a more effective implementation of and compliance to the Safety Management System.
• Provide recommendations as a result of analyzing statistics related to Safety Management Systems, as input to the annual Management Review. Build strong partnerships with regulatory bodies’ leaders and representatives.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably Maritime Courses
• 3 years related experience
• Must be a Certified ISM Auditor
