We’re looking for a Junior QA Automation Engineer who can help us test, validate, and improve the quality of our web and API applications. You’ll work closely with our Senior Tech Lead and Full-Stack Developers to ensure every release is stable, secure, and high-performing. This role will focus primarily on manual and semi-automated testing, with opportunities to grow into full automation ownership over time. Job Responsibilities Manual & Functional Testing Execute test plans, cases, and regression suites for web and API applications Perform manual testing across browsers, devices, and environments Validate data accuracy through SQL queries and API responses Identify, document, and track bugs or inconsistencies using clear reproduction steps Automation Support Run and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright Execute API testing through Postman/Newman and maintain collections Assist in writing basic test scripts using JavaScript/PHP within existing frameworks Support continuous testing within GitHub Actions pipelines Learn and apply BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behat, or Codeception) for scenario-based tests Collaboration & Reporting Work closely with developers and the Senior Tech Lead to ensure bugs are fixed before release Provide clear feedback on feature readiness, regression impact, and performance issues Contribute to improving testing documentation, coverage, and release notes Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in QA testing (manual or automated) Familiarity with Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright for UI testing Basic experience with Postman/Newman for API validation Understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and regression testing Knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, or Python for simple test automation scripts Comfortable with SQL for test data validation Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions preferred) Good attention to detail, documentation habits, and communication skills Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: ₱50,000/mo starting gross pay base Performance-based bonuses based on timeline performance Benefits: Government-mandated (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), 13th-month pay, HMO upon regularization Continuous technical training and mentorship under the Senior Tech Lead Work Setup Contract: Full-time employment (6-month probationary period).
