My role is accountable for implementing complex technical solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the technical direction of our products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions for complex business problems.
  2. Leading technical design discussions and architectural decisions for major features.
  3. Reviewing code, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining high code quality standards.
  4. Collaborating with product managers to refine requirements and propose technical solutions.
  5. Identifying and resolving technical debt and system bottlenecks.
  6. Providing guidance and training to junior developers to help them grow their skills.
  7. Implementing and advocating for best practices.
  8. Regularly communicating with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  9. Actively participating in retrospectives and suggesting improvements to processes and workflows.

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent certification.
  2. 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  3. Experience building and maintaining large-scale applications and performance optimization.
  4. Background in agile development methodologies.
  5. Experience with microservices and event driven architecture.
  6. Experience with test-driven development.
  7. Experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps culture.
  8. Solid proficiency in C#.NET language.
  9. Solid proficiency in Azure / AWS cloud platform.
  10. Solid proficiency in SQL Server, Postgres and Redis.
  11. Strong understanding of tools including DataDog, LaunchDarkly and Twilio Segment.
  12. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  13. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  1. Prior experience in outsourced employee benefits and administration service domain.
