The Fashion Buyer/Product Officer generally handles select product categories and works closely with all groups involved in the sourcing, development, production and delivery of all merchandise sold in our stores; works hand in hand with our vendors to ensure that every piece of a collection is delivered in-full and on-time. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Negotiates price and delivery timelines with vendors Prepares Price Docs and Purchase Orders for approval Monitors progress of all orders in all key stages (from product development to delivery) or via factory visits Alerts concerned departments whenever a PO is in danger of not meeting the target delivery date or if there are inconsistencies/ deviations from agreed plans Issues documentation for all date changes and recommends penalties, if applicable Acts as the vendors’ point person in GABC for the entire order process, including product development QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of Clothing Technology, Fashion Design and Merchandising, or other related courses. At least 1 year of experience working as buyer in a fashion retail industry Knowledge in costing and basic garment production Knowledge in fabric sourcing Good analytical skills and with a keen eye to details. Customer focused and results-driven.
