.Accountabilities:Provide current, accurate, and comprehensive legal indexes for various product lines.Indexing tasks include but are not limited to:Administrative Tasks* Reviews publication files, comparable indexes and the text to identify the state of the manuscript and prepare an approach to the text (determine to FL or in-house)* Confirms deadlines and timeframes for timely completion of projects; estimates project size to prioritize time between the creation, editing and review phases of the indexing process and in some instances, expediting indexing jobs whenever the need arises;* Prepares files for print and web-based products.* Manages multiple index projects on concurrent basis.* Follow best practices for file management* Follow best practices for QTT* Cite checking* Cindex data maintenanceAnalytical Indexing* Complete Content Enhancement request* Update Cindex file to reflect release revisions* Establishes a logical and cohesive organizational scheme that will provide the conceptual framework for the index. Organizes entries on the basis of either a parallel or general (broader) to specific (narrower) structure. Establishes logical relationship between entries and subentries* Studies the subject area and topics to be covered to gain familiarity with legal concepts presented in the text and determines the appropriate scope of coverage.* -Consults with Editorial whenever necessary to apply the appropriate key legal concepts and terminology so that indexes are easy to use and customers are satisfied with the indexes.* Run utilities (Sumdex, Icheck and Spell Check) to determine whether the index meet the standards prescribed;* Able to engage and interact with stakeholdersLegal Research* Writes material from a variety of sources for the organization's online/digital platforms (including broadband and mobile) in accordance with the established editorial and style guidelines.* Performs routine assignments in the entry level to a professional job progression.Qualifications:* Graduate of Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor* Must have a sound level of computer literacy* Must have legal research skills* Must have superior reading, legal comprehension and proofreading skills* Must have excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills* Must demonstrate project management skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines* Must have good relationship-building skills* Must have a sound commercial awareness* Must have advance analytical skills* Must be able to work on flexible scheduleWe are committed to providing a fair and accessible hiring process.
