Accountant (with US Real Estate experience) Position Title: Accountant (with US Real Estate experience) Work Set-up: Work From Home Salary: Php 50,000 - Php 60,000 (depending on experience) Schedule: 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM PH Time We’re looking for a highly skilled Accountant with experience in property management systems. This role will handle core accounting functions such as accounts payable tracking, transaction coding, and financial reporting, while also playing a key part in providing insights to improve an AI-driven property accounting tool. Responsibilities Core Accounting Tasks Perform accurate coding, posting, and reconciliation of financial transactions. Manage accounts payable including invoice tracking and expense categorization. Maintain property-level financial data with precision and ensure data integrity. Prepare and interpret financial statements and supporting reports. Technical Support & System Feedback Use property management accounting software such as AppFolio, RealPage, Yardi, Entrata, MRI, Buildium, PropertyWare, ResMan, or RentManager. Provide feedback to enhance AI accounting workflows and system functionality. Work within collaborative tools including Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft Excel. Analytical & Process Improvement Review financial data for accuracy, consistency, and potential process improvements. Identify gaps in accounting workflows and propose efficiency enhancements. Support data analysis and trend evaluation for operational decision-making. Collaboration & Communication Communicate clearly and professionally with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Product, Engineering). Document and share technical feedback on system performance and accounting operations. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within property management or real estate. Hands‑on experience in AP processing, transaction coding, and financial reporting. Familiarity with general ledger structures and account reconciliations. Technical Proficiency Proficient in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace tools. Comfortable using communication platforms like Slack. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to AI-driven systems and emerging technologies. Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. High integrity and professionalism in handling financial data. Collaborative and proactive mindset, with an eagerness to contribute to tech innovations. Preferred Qualifications CPA or equivalent accounting certification (or working toward it). Prior experience in a property management accounting environment (multifamily, commercial, or mixed‑use). Experience with multifamily property owners or managers such as Flaherty and Collins, Peak Living, or Emerge Living. Ability to work US Eastern Time hours.
