Cloud Engineer {AWS and Google Cloud Platform} — Yondu, Inc., Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure across platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP/Alibaba) while optimizing applications for the cloud and ensuring seamless migration and ongoing performance.
  • Code, handle deployments, configure cloud infrastructure, stay updated on emerging technologies, and collaborate with clients and development teams to translate requirements into functional cloud solutions.
  • Design, develop, and manage cloud solutions for secure, scalable architectures in target cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP/Alibaba).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and scripts for basic provisioning and configuration tasks (networking and security services).
  • Support conversion of technical component designs into functional back-end or front-end code and design operational processes for cloud adoption and management.
  • Apply security best practices and monitor cloud security posture.
  • Configure and deploy cloud applications to staging environments for optimal performance and manage migration of on-premises applications and data to the cloud.
  • Monitor cloud management and data storage services; diagnose and resolve issues; ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget; use standard monitoring and testing tools for cloud performance and resource utilization.
  • Create and maintain unit tests for applications before QA testing and ensure integration with cloud services; maintain project source code repositories and review code for functionality, coding standards, and security principles.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to ensure application integration with cloud services.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in developing websites, web applications, web services, or mobile applications.
  • Experience in roles such as Software Engineer, System Administrator, Network Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
  • Cloud service providers: AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba.
  • Container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
  • SDLC and Object-Oriented Design and Programming.
  • HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases; web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
