Role

The Global Compliance Testing (GCT) - Regulatory Change Validation (RCV) team conducts reviews to validate implementation effectiveness of new regulations and/or changes to existing regulations. The Associate Consultant plans and executes validation testing in line with applicable regulations, documenting results and communicating these results to management.

Shift: 4pm – 1am

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets laws, regulations and internal policies/procedures to develop testing plans and testing scope that validate regulatory implementation.
• Executes the annual GCT RCV plan by conducting validation reviews, working closely with the manager and meeting scheduled deadlines.
• Performs reviews within the defined deadlines and scope, considering global, regional, and local requirements; liaises with Business Unit Managers and Risk and Compliance Partners.
• Applies analytical skills to identify potential gaps or areas for control enhancement within the first and second lines of defense.
• Follows established testing policies, procedures and standards and documents testing activities.
• Delivers work products with minimal revisions and participates in applicable training.
• Validates and communicates results clearly and escalates key risks in a timely manner.

Skills and Qualifications

• Clear, concise verbal and written communication.
• Experience related to monitoring/testing, including planning tests, ideally in compliance testing, operational risk, or internal/external audit.
• General knowledge of bank regulations; knowledge of payments, market abuse, privacy, AML, Sanctions, and fraud is a plus.
• Understanding of regional regulations and applicable laws.
• Preferred knowledge of Custody, Asset Servicing, FX, Fund Administration, Fiduciary, Brokerage, or corporate governance topics.
• Ability to advise management and the business with confidence and expertise.
• Experience providing compliance advisory and operational support.
• Proactive, able to work with minimal supervision; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and pay attention to detail.
• Expanded conceptual knowledge in the discipline and understanding of key business drivers.

Beneficial Qualifications

• Provides informal guidance to new team members.
• A college/university degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
