Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, bills, and payments for vendors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records, invoices, receipts, and other necessary financial documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and track company expenses and assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
- Support the finance team with tax-related documents, such as VAT filings and compliance reporting.
- Process employee reimbursements, payroll-related tasks, and ensure that payments are made in a timely manner.
- Maintain communication with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers regarding payment schedules, invoices, and related inquiries.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required by the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or finance-related role, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced knowledge of Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and financial management systems.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, invoices, and receipts.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines consistently.
Preferred Qualities:
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new financial processes and systems.
- Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry is a plus.
