Role Objective: The Manufacturing Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all production and plant operations at the manufacturing site. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and safe manufacturing processes that meet business targets for quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability. The position is responsible for driving operational excellence through continuous improvement, lean initiatives, automation, and people development supporting the company's commitment to innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations: production planning, scheduling, capacity management, process engineering, and maintenance. Ensure production targets (volume, cost, quality, on-time delivery) are met and continuously improved. Develop and implement operational strategy aligned with business objectives; drive operational excellence initiatives (lean, automation, cost reduction, value engineering). Lead and develop manufacturing leadership team; foster a high-performance culture, continuous improvement mindset, safe work environment. Work closely with supply chain, engineering, quality, R&D to ensure new product launches, production ramp-up, and process readiness. Monitor and manage manufacturing KPIs: yield, scrap/rework rates, downtime, throughput, cost per unit, energy usage, safety incidents. Oversee maintenance of equipment, plant facilities, drive preventive maintenance, reliability initiatives, and asset management. Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety regulations; promote sustainability and waste reduction programs. Liaise with senior leadership (business unit head, corporate HQ) to provide operational insights, drive capital expenditure planning, and support growth initiatives. Manage budgets for manufacturing operations, drive cost optimization while maintaining or improving quality and throughput. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Engineering/Operations) preferred. At least 10–15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong background in HVAC, consumer appliances, or similar manufacturing industries preferred. Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and large-scale production management. Knowledgeable in Manufacturing Technology. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams (production, engineering, quality, and maintenance). Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data-driven decision-making. Willingness to be based onsite at manufacturing facility (likely in Laguna or elsewhere) and potentially travel.
