Job Description:
-The Paralegal will assist attorneys by Paralegal investigating facts, preparing legal documents, and researching legal precedents. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
-Conduct legal research to support legal proceedings and document preparation.
-Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and briefs.
-File legal documents with courts and administrative bodies.
-Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and accessible.
-Maintain and update case management systems.
-Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks and submissions.
-Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and schedule meetings.
-Assist attorneys in preparing for client meetings and court appearances.
-Maintain client confidentiality and ensure all communications are professional and courteous.
-Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings.
-Manage attorney calendars and travel arrangements.
-Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, photocopying, and scanning documents.
-Gather and analyze evidence for legal cases.
-Interview witnesses and clients to obtain statements and gather pertinent information.
-Summarize and present findings to attorneys.
-Ensure compliance with legal procedures and regulations.
-Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications:
-A bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Political Science, or a related field is commonly preferred.
-Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a paralegal or in a related legal position.
-Certification from an accredited paralegal program is preferred.

Skill/Other Requirements
-Strong research and analytical skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
-Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
