Position Overview The Implementation Consultant II serves as a strategic partner for clients with moderately complex needs. You’ll lead consultative discovery sessions to design customized system configurations that drive efficiency and maximize value. With a focus on accurate data conversion and seamless client onboarding, you’ll balance legacy data, validate configurations, and provide proactive support throughout implementation. This role requires strong analytical thinking, client relationship skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You will work closely with customers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for accounting/finance admins and non‑admin employee end users. Primary Responsibilities Act as the client’s trusted advisor, ensuring exceptional customer experiences throughout the implementation process for moderately complex clients, including facilitating meetings and maintaining communication throughout the lifecycle. Provide smooth transition and post‑implementation support, including system maintenance and issue resolution, based on client feedback. Assist clients in data migration, data mapping, and data validation to ensure accurate and complete integration into the software. Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements and advise on best ways to integrate Airbase with ERP, bank accounts, HRIS, ticketing, SSO, CLM, and other procurement tools. Review configuration with clients to ensure the software aligns with their needs and expectations, ensuring optimal utilization of system capabilities. Collaborate with internal cross‑functional teams (sales, product SMEs, project managers) to deliver high‑quality implementations. Troubleshoot and resolve implementation‑related matters, escalating critical concerns as necessary. Provide advice and guidance to help clients incorporate best practices, process improvements, and change‑management strategies. Education and Experience 2+ years of customer service or customer‑interfacing role. High‑school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of experience implementing ERP, HRIS/HCM, or Procure‑to‑Pay systems. Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying technical levels. Knowledge of Paylocity products and processes preferred. Client‑centric approach with excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong emphasis on Excel) and other programs; experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data manipulation and analysis. Resourceful problem‑solving skills to overcome obstacles and find creative solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations. Project‑management skills: prioritizing tasks and projects based on importance and urgency, maintaining high organization and attention to detail throughout the implementation process to meet client deadlines and achieve successful outcomes. Preferred but not required Experience with NetSuite, Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, or PMP certification. Experience working with product and engineering teams. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7‑8 hours a day.
