Graduate of Bachelor Degree in Biology/Chemistry/Food Technology

WORK EXPERIENCE:

With experience in laboratory and analytical works, knowledgeable in basic laboratory equipment and with experience of working in a GMP and GLP environment.

A. SCOPE OF WORK

Responsible for physicochemical analysis of raw materials and blended products including line inspection.

Summary of Key Functions:

Performs inspection of the following:
· Feeder area cleaning

· Daily Process

· Daily sanitation

· Blender sanitation

· Cleaning housekeeping (Warehouse, Production, Maintenance, HR/Admin)

· Personnel Hygiene

· Pest Control Monitoring

· Shipment Inspection

· Glass and Hard Plastic Inspection

· Start-up Inspection

· Periodic maintenance cleaning

2. Analyses the quality of finished products for both primary and secondary blends:

· Analyze particle size using siever depending on the mesh size requirement.

· Analyze pH using pH meter.

· Analyze viscosity of samples using viscometer ( raw and cooked samples )

· Analyze water gel strength

· Analyze potassium gel strength.

· Analyze brine gel strength

· Analyze calcium gel strength

· Conduct milk gel strength analysis for blended products.

· Check the odor of the sample versus previously approved samples

· Analyze color of the samples using the whiteness meter.

· Analyze Iron Content (all FG pure products and selected blended products)

· Conduct Syneresis for blended products depending on the client’s requirement.

3. Conduct Micro analysis

· Prepares all reagents and media needed in microanalysis.

· Performs microbiological testing such as total Plate Count, Coliform, Yeast and Molds, Salmonella for all FG lots.

· Performs microbiological testing of all in-coming raw materials for both Refined Semi-refined carrageenan and other gums and food ingredients.

4. Analyses the quality of in-coming raw materials for both refined, semi-refined, gums and other food ingredients.

· Gel Strength Analysis

· KCL content analysis

· Moisture content analysis

· Sieve analysis

· Color using whiteness meter

· pH Analysis

5. Analyses purity/quality of in-coming chemicals:

· Calcium Hypochlorite – purity by titration

· Potassium Hydroxide – purity by titration

· Potassium Chloride – purity by titration

· Sodium Hypochlorite – purity by titration

Quality Control

· Oversee the quality of raw materials, in-process and finished goods meet the specifications prior to disposition.

· Conduct on-line monitoring at the production area.

· Conduct shipment inspection.
