AU Intermediate Tax Accountant

Overview TOA Global Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, Central Luzon, Philippines. Location: Clark (Onsite). Shift: 7am-4pm (Monday - Friday). Role: Global Talent Pipeline Development Officer. As part of the Outsourcing team, you will provide outstanding services to local and international clients across a diverse range of industries. You will be the main point of contact for the day-to-day delivery of services and have the ability to work under pressure to tight timeframes. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, including bank reconciliations and processing of journals using Xero, MYOB, Dext, Lightyear and AccountKit Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summary and loan summary for corporate and family groups including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Individuals Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns and activity statements Communication with the ATO in relation to various client matters (e.g., payment arrangements, remissions, extensions) Work as part of a team and collaborate with other intermediate and senior business services accountants Use Xero for preparation of financials, tax returns, billing and job management Assist/review bank and payment matters Provide timely and accurate reporting to queries Process month-end transactions including accruals, prepayments, provisions and depreciation Assist with monthly or quarterly management accounts and period-end close processes Prepare payroll tax and workers' compensation reconciliations Prepare monthly/quarterly Business and Instalment Activity Statements Assist with setting up clients on Xero Assist in supervising and training junior staff; review tasks assigned to juniors Keep management informed of progress and issues; communicate professionally with colleagues Contribute to delivering excellent customer experience as determined by management Qualifications / Skills 3+ years working in an accounting role 1-2 years' experience working in an accounting role for Australian businesses Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent) Experience with Xero or other cloud accounting packages Desirable: experience with Dext, Lightyear, AccountKit, MYOB, Navision, NetSuite, SAP Strong numerical and IT skills Proficient Microsoft Excel skills Willingness to learn new systems and tools as needed Experience in delegating and reviewing junior team work Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including report writing Demonstrated problem solving and decision making abilities Willingness to lead, learn, and commit in a professional environment What’s in it for you?
