Oversee the proper and timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closure procedures. Ensure all financial reports are prepared and submitted on schedule. Review and approve accounting transactions in consultation with the Senior Accounting Manager and Controller. Manage positive pay and other treasury functions to guarantee correctness and compliance. Oversee monthly and quarterly tax compliance efforts, ensuring that all requirements are met accurately and on time. Assist in the formulation of budgets and projections, providing analytical insights to management. Work with department heads to match financial targets with overall corporate goals. Determine how to improve departmental efficiency and accuracy through process changes and better resource usage. Inform accounting staff of complex or unusual financial transactions. Respond to requests from executive management for financial results, special reports, and analysis. Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Manager and the Controller to ensure a seamless and timely year-end audit process. Supervise the general ledger team to ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and internal controls. Help create and implement new accounting procedures and system advancements. Accounting professionals should receive training, guidance, and mentoring. Oversee performance, attendance, and employee relations on the accounting team. Set explicit performance targets for direct reports, track success, and encourage professional development. Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives coordinated by the Senior Accounting Manager and Controller. Qualifications: Has a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy. Must be a Certified Public Accountant. Has 5 years of experience in accounting operations and at least 3 years of people management experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
