Overview Postdoc in Molecular Pharmacology at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen. 1.5 year position in the Ulven group, starting January 1st or after agreement. Project focuses on GPCR dimers as drug targets. Responsibilities Establish new assays as needed. Characterize functional and binding properties of ligands for selected GPCR receptors in cell-based assays. Evaluate the ability of ligands to induce receptor dimerization using fluorescence-based methods. Qualifications Essential experience and skills PhD in molecular biology, pharmacology, or a related field. High experience in cell handling and in performing various cell-based assays. Motivated, well-organized, able to work independently and in teams, and able to supervise younger students. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams. Excellent English skills, written and spoken. Desirable experience and skills Experience with GPCRs, GPCR assays, fluorescence-based methods (FRET and/or BRET), and microscopy is highly desirable. Any experience with or insight into medicinal chemistry of GPCRs is valued but not required. Place of employment Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen. Modern facilities for organic synthesis, purification and analysis, as well as cell labs. Terms of employment Average weekly working hours: 37 hours. Fixed-term position for 1.5 years. Starting date: 1 January 2025 or after agreement. Salary and pension terms follow the Danish Agreement; salary starts at 35,000 DKK/month (approx. 4,700 EUR) with possible supplements. Employer contributes 17.1% to pension. Foreign and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions if they hold a PhD and have not lived in Denmark in the last 10 years.
