Finance Services Team Leader

Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee The Finance Services Team Lead will provide high-level business analysis, recommendations, and leadership to coordinate operational activities within the team. The role will drive change, optimize service delivery, and provide professional guidance across all QBE regions, including IFRS, UK and US GAAP, IAS, and Australian Accounting Standards. Functions covered include Financial Planning and Analysis, Management and Expense Reporting, Project Finance, Financial Reporting, Data and Analytics, Forecasting & Budgeting, and Business Partnering. The Team Lead will partner with QBE at both divisional and group levels to analyze financial and operational plans, interpret trends, and enable informed decisions. Primary Responsibilities Ensure accurate, timely, reliable, and relevant financial information, analysis, and reporting. Manage budgeting and reforecasting processes, challenge submissions, and identify synergies. Communicate key forecast/plan assumption changes and assess impacts. Provide scenario modelling and stress testing of financial assumptions. Lead continuous improvement of forecasting and reporting processes. Lead and support project management tasks, ensuring on-time submission of deliverables. Enhance organizational knowledge of budgeting principles. Manage day-to-day service delivery to meet division and group needs. Resolve issues and monitor required actions. Manage capacity and resource allocation to meet SLA’s, monitoring and reporting KPI’s. Perform highly complex and critical tasks as needed. Maintain process documentation and support process change requirements. Ensure compliance with QBE policies, procedures, and legislations. Contribute to Business Continuity Plan creation and execution. Establish strong stakeholder relationships and provide timely updates. Lead process optimization and deliver efficiency targets. Drive identified process changes. Provide visible management and support, motivating and developing the team. Support personal and professional development of the team. Uphold a strong culture of accountability and high performance. Hire open positions within the team. Manage team capacity and build a robust succession plan. Required Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Required Experience 7 years relevant experience. Licenses/Certifications Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or similar. Preferred Competencies/Skills High proficiency in MS Tools; strong fluency with MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data query and data management tools. Rigorous analytical and quantitative skills with financial modeling and analysis experience. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts. Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication at all levels. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. High level of initiative and results orientation. Agile with strong process excellence and change management skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong people management skills. Project Management Skills. Able to perform with minimal supervision from Manager. Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Experience Accountancy, Management Accounting, or Financial Management. Related background in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, monthly analyses, and reports. Experience in managing and supporting Budget and Reforecasting submissions. Experience in ad hoc financial projections and analysis. Experience in building and updating profitability, cash flow models for Project Finance. Experience managing a highly performing team. Experience on global teams, preferably in Shared Services, Insurance, or multinational companies. Experience in leading continuous improvement of dynamic forecasting and reporting processes. Preferred Licenses/Certifications Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or similar.
