The Guidance Counselor will assist and support students and employees in their psychosocial development through the creation of a counselling program.

Job Summary : The Guidance Counselor will assist and support students and employees in their psychosocial development through the creation of counselling program.

• Counsels individuals and small groups based on student or employee needs.
• Evaluates students’ or employees’ abilities and interests through aptitude assessments, interviews, and individual planning.
• Proposes, implements, and monitors a comprehensive and holistic counselling program that applies developmental, preventive, and remedial strategies such as seminars, workshops, counselling sessions, etc.
• Maintains, updates, and safekeeps the records of each student or employee. Ensures confidentiality of client information and cases being handled. Discloses information aligned to the ethical standards and guidelines of counsellors and helping professionals.
• Liaises, consults, and coordinates with the Institute physicians, academic staff, and other individuals to address issues raised by the student or employees.
• Provides instructions in pro-social skills, self-esteem, and work-life balance/integration.

• Masters in Guidance and Counselling
• Registered Guidance Counselor
• At least 5 years of experience as a guidance counsellor
• Preferably, with counselling experience with foreign nationals or any diverse group
• Experience in coaching, wellness, mental health awareness
• Experience working with college students

Salary : Php45,000.00 - Php65,000.00 per month

Schedule :

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Supplemental pay types :

• 13th month salary

The Guidance Counselor is tasked to carry out responsibilities in the implementation of the values development program and guidance services. He/She renders guidance and counseling services to the students of the institution that develops programs in coordination with faculty members and academic administrators to assist the students in their holistic development.

• Completion of bachelor’s degree in psychology or education majoring in guidance and counseling or any related course
• Possesses professional identity, professional growth and ethical practice
• Possesses effective skills in leadership, program and resource management and classroom management
• Possesses effective and ethical use of technology and its implications in academic, career and social development
• Preferably with at least six months of experience in related field
