Review electrical project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work. Analyze and interpret technical data to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical systems. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather relevant information. Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals for electrical projects. Conduct cost analysis and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain favorable pricing. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all estimates and bids. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to clarify requirements. Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry developments. You will make a direct impact by: Reviewing electrical project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work. Analyzing and interpreting technical data to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical systems. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather relevant information. Developing and submitting competitive bids and proposals for electrical projects. Conducting cost analysis and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain favorable pricing. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all estimates and bids. Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to clarify requirements. Staying updated on market trends, material costs, and industry developments. This Role Is for You If… Experience: 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the Australian industry, particularly in the electrical sector. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods. Proficient in estimating software and tools, such as simPRO, Groundplan, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Accubid, ConEst, or similar applications. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations. Non-Negotiables: Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost estimations. Effective negotiation and communication abilities to build partnerships.
