POSITION DESCRIPTION:QA ANALYST
REPORT STRUCTURE
The role reports to the Applications Manager and has no subordinates
PURPOSE:
QA Analyst, supporting development of new custom applications within the Sales and Commercial and Product Development portfolio
Work alongside the BAs, business and development team to ensure high quality is delivered in a timely manner.
KEY SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement testing plans for the project
- Identify procedures and scenarios for the quality control of the project
- Executes test cases under varying circumstances
- Detect, log and report program bugs and glitches
- Performs tests for new and existing features
- Documents and evaluates test results
- Track defects and helps troubleshoot errors
- Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts
- Work collaboratively with Business Analysts and Developers/Engineers to drive QA efforts
- Collaborate with business users to gain an in-depth understanding of the requirements, in order to build and deliver effective test cases
- Working with the Business Analyst, facilitate user acceptance testing with the business against acceptance criteria
- Comfortable engaging with business users to refine test case scenarios and facilitate end user testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate and convey information concisely
- Ability to self-organise within a team environment
- Able to adapt to change & work against tight time frames
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE;
- Minimum 3 years as a QA/Software Tester or similar role
- Relevant work experience in development and/or testing role.
- Experience in Agile frameworks and regression testing desired
- High attention to detail and solid analytical skills
- Proficient in test management software
- Knowledge & Experience on JIRA tool is a must
- Must demonstrate an understanding of test automation frameworks
- Experience using web based and mobile testing frameworks on Selenium WebDriver with compatible language (eg JavaScript, C#, or Perl with the Selenium WebDriver API)
- Experience defining tests and reviewing test results with BrowserStack and other cross-platform testing tools.
- Proven ability to simultaneously manage and prioritize multiple tasks across diverse projects
- Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or college diploma in QA Testing
