The Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role involves handling a variety of accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounts Payable and Receivable Process and verify invoices, ensuring timely payment to vendors. Manage customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances. General Ledger and Reconciliation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting schedules. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies. Monitor and analyze expense trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Maintain organized and detailed accounting records and documentation. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes. Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed. Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance, or a related field.
