We are looking for a passionate and driven Back-End Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a full-time position with an onsite requirement of 3 days a week at Client’s Office at Makati City.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team composed of: Internal team members from the client, Stratpoint professionals, and other third-party vendors.

You will work closely with key client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

You will work closely with our business partners, the household brands in technology, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft and Outsystems.

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server-side code
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and investigation to develop or modify moderately complex information systems
• Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions, optimized for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining the quality of code
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into fully functional backend components
• Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of backend services
• Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and implement effective solutions
• Maintain high standards of code quality, structure, and automation across the development lifecycle

• At least two years of job experience as a developer
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/ECE/ Computer Engineering or other related course.
• Proficient in J2EE (Spring framework) and/or Python (Django framework) programming languages, with a good knowledge of their respective ecosystems
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Skill for writing reusable J2EE and/or Python libraries
• Knowledge of multithreading and concurrency patterns in J2EE(Java - Spring boot) and/or Python
• Experience in REST and SOAP API creation and integration
• Experience in integration with databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience in Agile Development and Continuous Integration
• Experience in executing unit tests; experience in implementing automated testing platforms is a plus
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and Mercurial
• Experience in implementing AWS Lambda applications is a plus
• Experience in other backend programming languages such as C, C# and Node.js(Hapi JS, Express JS)
• Experience in IoT projects, noSQL databases, and machine learning is a plus.
