Overview

Amplify is looking for a detail-obsessed, insight-hungry UX QA to help us deeply understand how users experience our product. You’ll be the person who watches what others overlook, analyzing session recordings, surfacing friction points, and turning raw behavior into sharp product insights. This isn’t just about tagging events, it’s about helping us build a better product by knowing exactly where users get stuck or confused.

Your Responsibilities
  • Session Recording Review — Watch and analyze Hotjar sessions daily across different customer segments. Identify behavior patterns, drop-offs, and friction points that data alone can’t explain. Tag and document key insights tied to product navigation, onboarding, and activation.
  • Insight Reporting & Ticket Creation — Create clear, concise summaries of insights with video references and impact notes. Log product improvement tickets in Basecamp with context and urgency levels. Maintain a prioritized backlog of observations and link each to feature areas or KPIs.
  • Internal Enablement & Feedback Loop — Collaborate with Product and Design teams to connect behavior insights to upcoming releases. Share a weekly “UX Highlights” summary for the wider team with top observations and quick wins. Help PMs validate hypotheses by identifying real-world behaviors.
You Might Be a Fit If You
  • Have 2+ years of experience in QA and/or UX research
  • Enjoy spotting patterns in behavior and converting them into actionable insights
  • Are fluent in Hotjar (or similar tools like VWO, FullStory, Smartlook)
  • Can document findings clearly and collaborate effectively with non-technical teammates
  • Must: You’ve worked in a SaaS company or reviewed onboarding/user flows before
Key KPI

Deliver at least 30 actionable UX insights weekly, backed by Hotjar evidence and tied to user value.
