Overview

Graphic Designer (Full-Time Contractor, Remote) at Somewhere. We are a fast-growing, creativity-driven brand that inspires people through beginner-friendly craft kits, patterns, and experiences. Our mission is to help people discover the joy of making. We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to bring our visuals to life across print, digital, and e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Print & Packaging
    Design and lay out step-by-step instructional pattern guides (PDFs) with clear hierarchy, visuals/callouts, and printer-friendly formatting.
  • Print & Packaging
    Create accurate pattern templates (vector-based) for printing and tracing; ensure 100% scale accuracy, proper margins/bleed, test prints, and version control.
  • Print & Packaging
    Prepare print-ready files for packaging graphics (layouts for existing box shapes).
  • Digital & Marketing
    Design graphics for ads (Meta, Google, Pinterest).
  • Digital & Marketing
    Create website images, banners, and promotional visuals.
  • Digital & Marketing
    Design pins and manage visual assets for Pinterest.
  • Digital & Marketing
    Develop product listing images that highlight features and benefits.
  • Brand & Creative
    Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across all visual assets.
  • Brand & Creative
    Collaborate on new creative concepts for marketing campaigns.
  • Brand & Creative
    Suggest and explore innovative approaches to design, including use of AI-generated imagery (a bonus skill).
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of professional design experience in a similar role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of print, digital, and marketing design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Access to your own professional-spec design hardware/software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating remotely in a team setting.
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Proficiency with Canva for quick-turn projects.
  • Experience with e-commerce brands and digital marketing design.
  • Familiarity with AI-based design tools (e.g., MidJourney, DALL·E, Firefly, etc.).
  • Basic familiarity with tools like Figma for cross-team collaboration.
